The City of Shiroishi in Miyagi Prefecture lies about 300km north of Tokyo
on the eastern side of the mainland Japan. Shiroishi is easily accessible
to and from Tokyo by high speed transport provided by the famous shinkansen
(bullet train, 2 hours).
Shiroishi is situated close to the Tohoku Capital and capital of Miyagi
Prefecture, Sendai. Sendai City is easily accesible via bullet train (15
minutes), local JR train (45 minutes), and the recently completed Tohoku
Expressway (30 minutes). Seaport facilities for the area are provided at
nearby Shiogama.
Sendai Airport is conveniently located approximately 45 minutes by car
from Shiroishi. Sendai Aiport has full domestic services, as well as limited
